The overall goal of Euphresco is to support coordination and collaboration in the area of phytosanitary research, and to become a strong, long-term network of funders that fully incorporate existing and new members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main objectives of this project focussed on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Surveys of potential vector species and association with plant hosts.<\/li><li>Evaluation of sampling and trapping methods for vector species in the environment.<\/li><li>Evaluation of molecular techniques for identification of vector species to provide taxonomic support including development of species-specific assays<\/li><li>Development and evaluation of molecular techniques for detection of&nbsp;<em>X. fastidiosa&nbsp;<\/em>in vectors.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The final report of the Euphresco network (F-221 Xylella and its insect vectors) has been published and can be viewed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iamb.it\/uploads\/attachments\/1319\/F_221_Xylella_and_its_insect_vectors_final_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Final Report: F-221 Xylella and its insect vectors<\/strong><\/a><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Euphresco is a network of organisations funding research projects and coordinating national research in the phytosanitary area.
